“ScoutFunding” is our term for arranging donations to local Scout groups for their donor projects. It has been managed by the Foundation for over three years, a donation amount of CZK11 million was reached at the end of October and it can be assumed that we will reach the fifth million by the end of November and December 2021. Almost 90 donor projects have been carried out, with over 7600 donations accepted. We accept donations of around two hundred thousand CZK each month. ScoutFunding has become another source of funding for Scout groups, which are themselves doing their best in fundraising.

Czech Scout Foundation supports the individual local groups; it does not concern support for the projects of the association as a whole.

 

Most current projects are aimed at investment support for new clubhouses. We add 2%, which is taken down by the operator of the portal darujme.cz, and we add matching to selected projects – multiplying the amount collected.

However, the selected flow-through means by which we assist Scout groups cost us something in the form of our own overhead with bookkeeping, auditing and administration. The Foundation is a member of the Easy Donation Coalition, where the membership fee to the Coalition is dependent on the amount of grants, including those from the Scouts.

We see a future in the development of individual donation in the Scout environment where it makes sense to invest additional resources and efforts.

Czech Scout Foundation, which wants to be a major supporter of Scouting, is opening up a call for future resources to ensure its long-term operation. One way is to build a circle of permanent supporters – regular donors.
