Prague Animal Protection Society has been active under this name for decades, from the year 1991. Our mission is to help save animals, especially the abandoned, sick or abused ones. Every year we accomplish to save a few hundreds of abandoned cats, for whom we provide veterinary care and neutering, and we either find them a new home or we release them back into a safe cat colony. The Shelter Cat Felix is an establishment under the supervision of Prague Animal Protection Society in Klecany. The shelter is caring mostly for cats, in extreme cases also other animals. Throughout the year, the shelter cares for around 150 cats. There are also other cats under the shelter´s care, the ones in outside colonies and in home-based foster care, in certain parts of the year the number of cats in oure care can exceed 250.
