Člověk v tísni (People in Need) – SOS Nepal
Člověk v tísni has been working in the affected Rasuwa area ever since the 2015 earthquake and has built relationships with local communities and local government there. From its Friends' Club (Klub přátel Člověka v tísni) alone, it released CZK 1 million for immediate relief, and it is now directing aid to an area where more than 1,200 households were affected.
UNICEF is helping mainly in the worst-hit district of Rasuwa along the Bhote Koshi river, where the floods destroyed 18 schools and damaged another 20 — leaving more than 10,000 children without access to education. It is delivering medical supplies, mobile health tents, mosquito nets, newborn kits and therapeutic food for malnourished children to the affected areas and helping repair 4 damaged health facilities; according to the organization, up to 17,000 children need help.

CARE Nepal has 290 staff on the ground ready to deploy. It coordinates its aid directly with the Nepalese authorities and local humanitarian partners and will focus on shelter, hygiene and the basic needs of affected families.
