The Červený Kostelec Regional Charity has been operating since 1994 in order to provide charitable, social and medical activities of general benefit. Its largest centers include the Anežka Česká Hospice (the first hospice in the Czech Republic, the founder of the hospice movement) and the Home of St. Josef in Žirče near Dvůr Králové n. L. (the only specialized facility in the Czech Republic for people suffering from multiple sclerosis). It also operates Home Hospice Care, Palliative Care Outpatient Clinic, Charity Nursing and Nursing Service, Kindergarten, Maternity Center and Leisure Center for Children and Youth.
