AMIGA was founded in 2010 by migrant women in Prague with the aim of more effectively integrating migrants in the Czech Republic through their own initiatives and volunteering. AMIGA leads a multidisciplinary DUMKA team focused on the mental health of refugees in the Czech Republic and composed mostly of women professionals with their own migration experience. The organization's mission is also to improve systemic cooperation between health, social and educational institutions and to build sustainable systems of support, solidarity and cultural dialogue.
