They are women, mothers, professionals - and also refugees. Despite having lost their home themselves, they have decided to become a support for the most vulnerable of the Ukrainian community in the Czech Republic. The crisis assistance, community support and mentoring programmes they design and run help people to better integrate, overcome conflict and reduce the burden on the Czech health and social systems.
Let's help them so they can continue to help.
Let's support Ukrainian psychologists - women who help even in exile
Ukrainian psychologists help children with war trauma, seniors without a home, people with chronic illnesses including cancer patients, and families with children with special needs. They work in shelters, community centres, hospitals and schools - often on a voluntary basis or without the security of a salary, but with great commitment and heart.
Until recently, a significant part of their work was funded through international programs. However, due to unforeseen funding disruptions, key resources for refugee mental health services have been suspended. As a result, psychologists are now at risk of losing their salaries—just when their work is needed the most.
Let's help them get through this challenging time. Your donations will enable us to:
keep the expert work of the psychosocial support team paid,
provide supervision, training and psychological support,
create a stable base for long-term support.
Your support means that these women will be able to continue to help - with expertise, dignity and humanity. Let's help those who keep others afloat.
Držím palce!
