Let us protect and maintain together this final resting place, where generations of Jewish residents of Prague and many other places throughout Bohemia have been buried since 1890. The New Jewish Cemetery is remarkable for its size, the number of tombstones, and their artistic design. It contains the graves of important figures, rabbis, artists, and scientists who influenced Czech and European history. People from all over the world come to visit the graves of Franz Kafka and many others.
However, the costs of regular maintenance and restoration of the cemetery are too high, and the Jewish Community of Prague cannot cover them on its own. Your donation will help us keep the cemetery grounds in a dignified and well-maintained condition for current and future generations.
