Support the 15th edition of the Velvet Carnival parade!
Czech Television and Czech Radio are on the verge of relying on the state budget while funding for culture is being cut; the current government is giving us more inspiration than we can keep up with for making masks. On November 17th, the Velvet Carnival parade will make its way through Prague for the 15th time, featuring masks and life-sized satire. Freedom of speech won't defend itself—help us bring it out into the streets!
The 15th edition of the Velvet Carnival parade will feature more than ten groups bringing current topics to the streets on November 17th. This year's lineup consists of groups of high school and university students, a group of mothers, and a group made up of children from several children's homes in the Central Bohemian Region. The social atmosphere at the turn of October and November is explosive, and in addition to defending public service media, the Velvet Carnival will bring other burning issues into the public space.
Don't miss it!

The 15th edition of the Velvet Carnival will also be accompanied this year by a meeting that will facilitate a European debate on art, communities, and public space. It focuses on what creativity and collaborative creation in public space can achieve.
The event is part of FUK – the Festival of Art and Creativity in Education.
