When a municipality plans a school or an apartment building, the quality and sustainability of materials and the impact on the surroundings tend to get lost in the decision. There is no shared approach. Partnership PRO brings the state, municipalities and companies to one table to build it. Help us test it on the first real buildings.
How is the decision made about a new school or an apartment building? Materials are mostly chosen by price and availability. The quality and sustainability of materials and the impact of a building on its surroundings get lost in the decision, because there are no shared criteria that municipalities, designers and suppliers could actually use. Yet these criteria determine how well a building lasts and how much it costs to run.
Partnership PRO is a voluntary agreement inspired by the Dutch Green Deals. Representatives of the state, municipalities, companies and expert organisations sit down at one table and work out how to do it. The main output is a so-called roadmap, a step-by-step guide from project preparation to completed construction. It will be freely available to anyone who needs it, especially municipalities.
We have been working on it since autumn 2025, and we are now finalising the roadmap. So that it does not stay on paper, we want to test it on the first real buildings as soon as possible.
