Fotograf Gallery is at risk of closing. Help us save it.
Next year, Fotograf Zone will celebrate its 25th anniversary. But right now, we don’t know whether our gallery on Jungmannova Street, one of the few independent spaces for photography and contemporary art in central Prague, will still be here to celebrate with us.
It is a place where Czech photography meets the public, where we debate, create and come together, and where emerging artists can show their work alongside established names. For the first time, the gallery now needs your support.
Help us keep it open.
Fotograf Zone Is Changing Over the past quarter-century, we’ve published 50 issues of Fotograf Magazine, more than 2,000 articles on fotograf.zone, organized 16 editions of the festival, and held 170 exhibitions in our gallery. We’ve welcomed more than 300 international guests. Our current operating model, however, is no longer financially or humanly sustainable. That is why we are regrouping and rethinking what comes next.
One thing matters deeply to us. We do not want to lose our gallery on Jungmannova Street. For the first time in 25 years, we’re asking you directly for support—the community that has grown around Fotograf Zone. Help us take the first step into the next quarter-century and preserve a space that has become an integral part of the Czech photography scene.
What Your Donation Will Do If we raise 400,000 CZK (approximately € 16.366), it will give us a realistic chance to keep the space, get through the critical first quarter of next year, carry out our planned program, and secure long-term funding for the gallery. If we raise less, every donation will support Fotograf Zone’s other activities, particularly online content, our work with emerging talent, and connecting Czech artists with the international scene.
With your support, you help shape the future of Fotograf Zone.
Every donation, regardless of the amount, gives us a chance to continue! Thank you.
The impact of your donations
