Ondra, originally from Ukraine, is a talented photographer from FAMU. He would still be working on his art, but he was drafted into the army and now evacuates wounded soldiers from the front line as a medic in extreme conditions. His unit lacks an off‑road vehicle for safe transport. Through a fundraiser under the Resistance Support Club, I want to buy him a modified off‑road car so he can reach the wounded faster and more safely.
My former classmate from the Department of Photography at FAMU, known by the call sign Ondra, is originally from Ukraine. I knew him as a talented photographer and artist — modest, friendly, and always thoughtful in his work. Shortly after finishing school, he received a draft order and had to join the army, so today, instead of photographing, he’s saving lives. He serves as a combat medic in a National Guard unit. He evacuates wounded soldiers directly from the front line and treats them in conditions that keep getting worse — drone attacks are increasingly frequent and dangerous, and the roads used to transport the wounded are more and more destroyed. Another harsh winter is coming, making survival near the Ukrainian front even more difficult. Reaching wounded soldiers quickly, safely, and providing urgent care requires not only courage but also proper equipment.
Ondra’s unit is currently struggling with the fact that they often have no vehicle to evacuate the wounded and must ask other units on the same stretch of the front for a “taxi.” They lack a reliable off‑road vehicle capable of moving through shattered terrain and ensuring safe evacuation. Unfortunately, this shortage of adequate equipment is nothing unusual — Russian attacks continuously destroy both military and civilian infrastructure.
Under the umbrella of the Resistance Support Club, which has long and intensive experience providing independent aid to Ukrainian civilians and soldiers, I want to buy such an off‑road vehicle for Ondra. And I need your help to do it. Through this fundraiser, I’d like to purchase a reliable off‑road car, arrange its conversion into a field ambulance, and cover the costs of delivering it directly to Ondra and his unit.
Ondra didn’t choose this work. If there were no war, he would be pursuing his art, living in Prague, and visiting Ukraine only to see his family. But reality is different. While I can focus on my artistic work, Ondra operates just a few kilometers from the front, trying to keep Ukrainian soldiers alive as they defend their country every day against Russian aggression. Let’s help him get a vehicle that can save lives every single day.
What exactly will the funds be used for?
Purchase of a reliable off‑road vehicle.
Conversion of the rear section into a field ambulance, allowing not only fast evacuation to safety but also basic urgent care inside the vehicle.
Transporting the vehicle directly to Ondra and his unit.
Join us, become regular donor – friend of the Resistance Support Club! We operate entirely on a volunteer basis and have close, direct ties to Ukrainian anti-authoritarian defenders, civic initiatives near the front lines, people and animals directly threatened by the occupiers’ advance!
Several times a year, we visit areas near the front lines, allowing us to respond transparently and as quickly as possible to requests and current needs from specific defenders and partner organizations in Ukraine. Even a regular monthly donation of the price of one cappuccino can become a reliable support!
We procure, assemble, and deliver technological and material aid. We deliver vehicles and medical supplies, launch emergency fundraisers for unexpected needs, and regularly provide food and veterinary supplies to a network of animal rescue centers and shelters caring for dogs and cats evacuated from towns near the front lines. When urgent needs arise, we also contribute to fundraisers run by organizations that can respond to such requests directly, effectively, and promptly.
Education is also part of our work. By raising public awareness, we encourage broader civil society to donate. We promote Ukrainian perspectives by organizing cultural and educational events, discussions, and educational programs that explore resistance, collective care, and contemporary forms of anti-imperialist and emancipatory activism. ✊
