This fundraising appeal supports the Czech-Ukrainian children's center in the Odesa region. Children here need a safe space for learning, play, and psychological care. The building is available, but without major repairs, it cannot serve its purpose—it leaks and lets in the cold.
The goal of this campaign is to raise funds for Phase 1 of the renovation: replacing the roof and windows. Once the building is protected from rain and frost, the remaining interior repairs will be straightforward.

Preparing interior playrooms and classrooms only makes sense once the building is dry and warm. The roof and windows are the essential foundation for the entire project.
New roof: Protects the building from rain, snow, and moisture.
New windows: Ensures warmth, energy efficiency, and safety for the children.

Our goal is to create a Czech-Ukrainian Children's Center near Odesa. We have a house, we have a plan, but renovation is needed. Can we do it together? In the children's center, we want to offer programs for children, psychological support, and after the war ends, Czech-Ukrainian projects that will also welcome Czech children.

Imagine a place where air raid sirens are replaced by children's laughter. A place where children affected by war can find safety, professional psychological support, tutoring, and a space to simply be kids again. This is exactly the kind of haven we are building.
Thanks to the incredible dedication of our Ukrainian parent organization, we have acquired a building roughly 30 km from Odesa. We have a clear vision and a complete design project (you can view the visualizations in the photo gallery). However, we need to turn these bare walls and rough outlines into a fully functioning home. We face a complete renovation, and we cannot do it alone.
What do we need? Your long-term support and engagement
Building and launching a children's center is a marathon, not a sprint. Your financial support will allow us not only to complete the challenging renovation step by step, but also to ensure the stable and safe operation of the center moving forward. Every donation—whether a one-off gift or a regular monthly contribution—helps us purchase construction materials, furnish classrooms and playrooms, and pay professional child psychologists and educators.
As soon as the construction work is finished, we will open our doors to volunteers and, most importantly, to the children who will find refuge here.
Furthermore, our vision extends far beyond the horizon of the current war. Odesa is located on the beautiful Black Sea coast, and we want this center to serve as a lasting international bridge in the future. We plan to host long-term exchange programs, summer camps, and joint educational projects for Ukrainian and Czech schoolchildren. We are building a place where lifelong friendships will be forged.
