This is a fundraising appeal as part of the “Songs for Glen” event to support the organization Jako doma, which assists homeless women in Prague.
Let’s come together to honor Glen Hansard through his songs and the causes he cared about.
Glen helped establish the tradition of Christmas charity busking in Dublin, where musicians and audiences come together to play and use the proceeds to financially support people experiencing homelessness in the local community. The aspects of social justice and bringing together the music and local communities were important to him.
With our event, “Songs for Glen,” we want to honor and carry on his legacy. Whether you attend the event or not, we’d appreciate your help in supporting this aspect of his legacy.
