Mind Over Mountains: 100 km for Mental Health

During the last week of September, I’ll be joining 100 enthusiasts for a 100-kilometre trek across the Balkans as part of Mind over Mountains, an initiative raising funds for organisations working to improve mental health. Our route will take us along part of a long-distance trail through Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania. Each day, we’ll cross borders on foot and make our way through some of the region’s wildest and most remote landscapes. Covering 100 kilometres of mountainous terrain will be both a physical and mental challenge – which is exactly why it feels so meaningful to use this experience to support mental health.

For my challenge, I’ve chosen to fundraise for Nevypusť duši, a Czech non-profit focused on mental health education and prevention. The organisation helps students, parents, teachers, people working with young people, and professionals develop practical skills and tools grounded in evidence. Just as importantly, it works to make caring for our mental health a natural part of everyday life – and to create a society where asking for help carries no stigma.

I would be incredibly grateful for any contribution, no matter the amount. Every donation brings us a little closer to our goal and, more importantly, helps make mental health support and education more accessible to the people who need it.

I’ll walk the 100 kilometres. You can help with one donation. Together, we can turn this challenge into something that makes a real difference.

Thank you for your support.
