Martin's Walk from Nová Ves to Brno for Sick Children | MANN+HUMMEL

Our colleague Martin walked 74 kilometers—on foot from the MANN+HUMMEL branch in Nová Ves u Třebíče all the way to Brno—and filmed the entire journey in a video that you can watch below. He undertook this journey for a good cause: to support seriously ill children and their families. This year, MANN+HUMMEL has begun supporting the “Spolu s odvahou” Foundation (which includes Bátor Tábor), which helps children cope with illness through experiential therapy and therapeutic camps, restoring their laughter and sense of security.
74 Kilometers on Foot for Children Battling Serious Illness

This year, for the first time, MANN+HUMMEL is supporting the “Spolu s odvahou” Foundation, which includes Bátor Tábor—the only therapeutic camp of its kind in Central Europe. The foundation helps seriously ill children through experiential therapy, therapeutic camps, and workshops, bringing laughter, self-confidence, and a sense of security back into their lives.

The Spolu s odvahou Foundation helps children with serious illnesses to rediscover joy and the lightness of childhood. Our experiential therapy programs in hospitals, schools, and family camps support children and their families – free of charge and with respect. The backbone of our programs are our volunteers, who bring courage with us where it is needed most. Our experiential therapy programs bring back children’s laughter and the ease of childhood. We help seriously ill children and their families overcome the difficult moments that illness has brought into their lives.
We support children facing serious illnesses—particularly cancer, blood disorders, metabolic, and neurological conditions. Illness often takes from children not only their health but, most importantly, their joy, friends, and sense of security. We help children like Maruška, Rozinka, Nela, Saška, Tobík…
Through recreation therapy programs— in hospitals, schools, family camps, and workshops—we give children courage, strengthen their resilience, and transform their lives for the better.
Our goal is to ease the emotional burden that illness brings and open a path for children toward self-confidence and happiness.
Each of our programs is designed to help children naturally overcome challenges and discover new skills. We create a space where children form new friendships, gain unforgettable experiences, and, most importantly, find the strength to be themselves.
All our programs are offered free of charge to children, their families, schools, and hospitals.
