I’m running my first marathon and fundraising for a great Prague-based organisation tackling homelessness and social and gender inequalities.
Hello friends, we all knew it was coming - I am training for my first marathon… In early May, I’m flying back to Prague to enjoy a flat and scenic (albeit cobblestoned) route and some home-turf support 🥰 and I’m using my little endeavour to fundraise for a very important cause.
Homelike (Jako doma) are a Prague-based charity doing great work supporting homeless women and trans people. Grounded in their deep understanding of homelessness as a systemic issue, they offer their clients access to a community centre, material assistance, trauma-informed social work, and help with finding housing and work. Any contribution you can make will go a long way supporting them to keep doing their essential work grounded in respect, gender sensitivity, and empowerment. They don’t have an English webpage - but if you would like to know more about their work I’d be so happy to translate or chat about it.
