Y&T Luxury Property is a real estate company that helps people find their dream homes. This year, the Y&T team has once again joined forces with the Our Lungs Foundation to support a young girl who is fighting her toughest battle not only on the chessboard but also in everyday life.
Together with the foundation, we are launching a fundraiser to purchase a cough assist device — a special medical machine that helps children with weakened respiratory function safely clear mucus, breathe more freely, and recover faster from illnesses. Every donation brings hope, relief, and a new breath to children who deserve to smile without struggling for air. 💚

About the Device – Cough Assist
A cough assist is a medical device that uses controlled positive and negative pressure to simulate a natural cough. It first gently “inflates” the lungs and then uses a quick flow of air to loosen and expel mucus from the airways. The method is gentle, painless, and safe even for small children.
“We have some children who have either acute or chronic lung problems that result in their airways and lungs being polluted. It may be caused by an acute or chronic inflammation. A cough assist machine is able to help clean those airways, shorten the treatment time, and make it more successful,” says Ivan Peychl, Head of the Pediatric Department at FN Bulovka.
It helps children living with conditions such as:
Duchenne muscular dystrophy
Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA)
Other neuromuscular diseases
Cystic fibrosis
COPD and chronic bronchitis
Post-infection or post-surgery states where coughing is weakened.
A cough assist device is often the difference between breathlessness and relief — between illness and stability — between fear and a calm breath.
What are we raising funds for?
Our goal is to raise 136,756 CZK, the price of a modern cough assist device for the pediatric department of Bulovka Hospital. With this device, young patients can recover more easily, breathe with less effort, and avoid complications caused by retained mucus.
Every donation helps them breathe freely again. If the total amount is exceeded, all additional funds will support other children through the Naše plíce Foundation.

The cough assist device was ceremonially handed over to the doctors of the Pediatric Department at FN Bulovka. 💚

The symbolic handover of the device was carried out by the patrons of the initiative, singer Dara Rolins and the general manager of the Czech national football team Pavel Nedvěd, whose presence supported not only the fundraising effort itself but also the broader awareness message of the entire initiative: that modern healthcare can significantly ease children’s treatment and help them return to everyday life.
“From A to Z, the whole project felt truly meaningful to me. Even though my daughter will turn 18 in a few weeks, I remember how much it hurt my heart as a mother when she was ill. Anything that can help another mother—and above all children—matters. That’s why I’m glad I could be part of this initiative,” said Dara Rolins. 💚

After consultation with the pediatric department of Bulovka University Hospital, the specific model of cough assist device, the EOVE EO-70, was selected. This model is suitable for pediatric patients, as it features playful and friendly graphics that help reduce treatment-related stress and encourage better cooperation from children during therapy.
How does a cough assist device work?
A cough assist device uses controlled positive and negative pressure to mimic a natural cough. It first gently helps inflate the lungs and then uses a quick flow of air to safely push mucus out of the airways. This method is gentle, painless, and suitable even for the smallest patients.
