 Y&T Luxury Property has been helping people find their dream homes. But this year, these incredible women have decided to join forces with the The Our Lungs Foundation to support a young girl whose battle extends beyond the chessboard and into everyday life. ❤️
As a child, her illness kept her away from school for long periods, forcing her to catch up on missed lessons. Although her absences have lessened since her diagnosis, physical activity remains a challenge, and she quickly gets out of breath—especially when running. To maintain her health, she relies on consistent sleep, careful medical care, and daily therapy to improve her breathing capacity and prevent complications.
Currently, Daniela uses a saline inhaler daily to help loosen mucus, followed by a flutter device to clear her airways. She also takes preventive antibiotics year-round and monitors her oxygen levels regularly.

Introduced to chess by her father and brother, Daniela found a passion for the game, which became a key part of her life due to the physical limitations preventing her from playing other sports. Her talent and dedication led her to an incredible achievement—in 2024, she placed 2nd in the Czech Junior Chess Championship, securing a spot at both the World Junior Championship and the Czech Women’s Championship. 🏆🎖️
Chess requires absolute silence, making tournaments particularly challenging for Daniela. Persistent coughing and congestion can be distracting and make her feel self-conscious.
Beyond chess, Daniela enjoys playing tennis and ping-pong, designing jewelry, and building Lego creations, where she lets her creativity shine.
What is PCD
Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) is a genetic disorder affecting the tiny hair-like structures (cilia) in the respiratory tract, preventing them from effectively clearing mucus and debris from the lungs. This leads to chronic respiratory infections, persistent coughing, and repeated lung inflammation, which can result in severe lung damage over time.
Why Are We Raising Funds?
One device that could drastically improve Daniela’s quality of life is the Simeox device. This innovative medical tool helps liquefy thick mucus in the lungs, making it easier to clear and reducing the risk of infections and lung damage. With Simeox, Daniela could breathe more easily, feel less fatigued, and focus not just on chess, but on everyday life without constant exhaustion.
How Does Simeox Work?

We are pleased to announce that the special Simeox device has now been ceremoniously presented to eighteen-year-old Daniela, who suffers from a rare genetic lung disease – primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD).
The ambassador of the fundraising campaign was singer and songwriter Tomáš Klus, who personally presented the device to Daniela. “Thanks to this special device, I can now breathe more freely. It will do the work of the cilia and clean my lungs, reducing the risk of infections,” said Daniela upon receiving the device.
Tomáš Klus added: “It was an honor to meet this wonderful young woman and to help her. I wish her no more checkmates – neither in chess nor in life.”
Eighteen-year-old Daniela is battling a rare illness that makes it difficult for her to breathe every day. Despite this, she refuses to give up and pursues her passion—chess—with incredible determination, achieving an outstanding success as the runner-up in the Czech Junior Championship.
To continue growing and living an active life, she needs specialized treatment and medical equipment that, unfortunately, are not covered by insurance.

Our goal is to raise 173,030 CZK for the Simeox device, which will provide essential treatment and rehabilitation for Daniela.Â
