The originally planned trip for Sarka a Pavel across Europe has been put on hold due to the dramatic incident. Sarka fell ill with cancer. Their lives spinned heels over head.
The originally planned trip across the Europe has been put on hold. Sarka’s current world has been shrank to the hospital room with the full programm of 33 radiation + 4-5 chemotherapy sessions. Sarka is an amazon. Her goal is not just to recover but also to keep on helping others. She has decided to climb up 1 000 stairs in the hospital during her stay. Pavel took it as a challenge and announced to pay for each stair 1 CZK on behalf of her to support the charity project which is aiming to make people more aware and also increase the level of palliative care in the CR (more info is on domestici.cz)
Today we became already 3 - Pavel, Martin Soucek and me.
"The 1000 stairs to heaven" is not about the death and dying. It is more about never giving up and helping others despite my current unpleasant situation. We will keep you updated daily with the progress of treatment and increasing number of stairs.

Blíží se konec výzvy 1000 schodů do nebe. Těžko se hledají slova, která popíší výstižně příběh.
Jak poděkovat všem, kteří Šárčinu výzvu podpořili? Co dál?
Těch šest měsíců od diagnózy opravdu nebyl napínavý seriál do gauče k brambůrkám. Několika hodinová operace ústní dutiny, týdenní trhání 15 stoliček, 5 chemoterapií 33 ozáření. Spálený krk, oteklý jazyk, nefunkční slinná žláza, úbytek 10kg svalové hmoty. To opravdu není dobrodružství Indiana Jonese.
První nápad, aby Šárka alespoň na chvíli zapomněla „za každý schod ti dám korunu“, se během několika dnů přetvořil v něco těžko uvěřitelného. Víc jak sto lidí ten „nápad“ podpořilo. Chápete to?! Zkuste si například přečíst zcela náhodně první tři nadpisy článků v „info zoně strážců demokracie“. Zkráceně? Prostě konec civilizace. Apokalypsa.
To není pravda! Je to blbost! 100 lidí poslalo peníze na projekt pomoci lidem v paliativní péči? Lidem na konci jejich cesty životem, lidem, které vůbec neznají a které nikdy neuvidí? To je naprosto úžasné, dech beroucí. Jak to popsat? Slováci na to mají to správné slovo! ZIMOMRIAVKY!
Šárka Kohoutová se pokusila na závěr videa poděkovat všem podporovatelům na lavičce naděje ve FN Hradec Králové. Opravdu není Indiana Jones. Je něco víc. Celou dobu ani jednou nepoužila za sebe dubléra. Proto omluvte kvalitu. Není to herecký výkon, je to „jen“ upřímné …….
Šárčin příběh je součástí mnohem většího celku. Projekt domestici.cz začíná. A tam jsou fakt indiáni!!

Dnes to bude delší. Martin Soucek a parta kolem něho upozorňuje na téma, o které je v „ziskové“ společnosti nevhodné mluvit. V ziskové společnosti není smrt nosné téma.
Má žena Šárka žije od ledna v mezní životní situaci, ve které musíte o tomto tématu přemýšlet. Když vás ze dne na den zastaví v tom každodenním „ziskovém“ shonu s diagnózou „rakovina“, máte na vybranou. Rezignovat, vzdát to a čekat na konec. Nebo bojovat.
Šárka si vybrala druhou variantu. Po pravdě, kdo ji známe osobně, nečekali jsme jinou volbu. Jí i to bylo málo. Rozhodla se z vaší podporou pomoci v projektu domestici (doporučuji k bližšímu seznámení, čeká nás velký příběh). V naší skupině, moderně napsáno, sociální bublině se blížíme ke stropu možností.
Žádáme vás, hledejte další sponzory pro její cestu po schodech do nebe. Do jejího závazku 1000 schodů a 100 000,- pro paliativní péči nám stále ještě něco chybí.
Přesvědčme své známé. Stačí pro začátek úkrok z „bubliny“ ziskové společnosti do společnosti LIDSKÉ! Zkuste si to! Je to osvobozující pocit, nebudete se chtít vrátit!
We will ride 5,000 kilometers on a bicycle from the west to the east coast of the USA to support the development of palliative care in the Czech Republic together. I have positioned myself at the center of a team of domestiques who share a common goal – to get the racer to the finish line in the best physical and mental condition possible. This task is similar to that of the relatives of the severely ill and dying – to accompany their loved ones to the end. Become one of the domestiques and join this incredible adventure of helping.
Life should be of quality and dignity until the last second. That's why palliative care is here. My dream is that together we will manage to raise 10 million CZK for this challenging aspect of life, which concerns each of us.

We will ride in a relay with Tomáš Navrátil in one of the toughest ultra-cycling races in the world: 5,000 kilometers in a mere 9-day limit. A race that cannot be managed without domestiques, those who help the racer reach the finish line. And it is these helpers, domestiques for palliative care, that I am looking for. Therefore, all your donations will be distributed for the direct support of palliative care in the Czech Republic. We will help a specific hospice, support the provision of mobile hospice care in regions, and invest in awareness, which is extremely important. I wish that together we ensure a quality and dignified life until the last moment for as many people as possible. Whether they are our loved ones or people we don't even know. Palliative care is not here to cure the patient at all costs, but to ensure that their departure is as they would have wished. I wish everyone such a departure.
