Castration of large colony of stray cats in Prague

Only few people can see them, most people do not know they are there as only few privileged can see them but they are around and in large numbers.
We are small group of volunteers who cannot ignore colony of stray cats. Unfortunately, cooperation with the association, which decided to take care of this colony a year and a half ago, did not work out. The result of not being castrated is a large increase in the colony (we have over 20 kittens, we estimate a total of 40-50 cats).
What do we do as the volunteers who are not indifferent to the fate of the stray cats? We go and daily feed the cats from our own funds. Due to their reproduction, we decided that one of us will complete a trapping course in November 2023 and then we will start castrating cats. Most are very shy and difficult to spot, that’s why we use a camera traps.
We would therefore like to ask you for any kind of contribution to the course of Catching stray animals without master, subsequent castration and the associated costs and feeding. All funds will go directly to the costs connected to the stray cats, no funds will be given to the volunteers but will be used for the food and castration.
The colony of cats we take care of has its limits. The space which is already running out due to uncontrolled reproduction and also finances for feeding. The association that promised neutering, feeding etc., collected money but failed to use them for the promised purpose and due to that, this year a minimum of neutering was carried out so we have over 20 kittens and we pay for the feeding out of our own money. We ended our cooperation with the association and decided to take matters into our own hands.
The colony numbers cca. 40-50 cats, maybe even more as there is no way to find exact amount of the stray cats. We only have one camera trap and we can only put it in two places. The situation has already become unbearable and that’s why we started to solve this situation. One of the volunteers will take a trapping course in November 2023. We hope to secure by then enough crates, cages and mats for post-castration care, a fixation cage and a drop box. Due to the numbers of cats we also hope for help with financing the feeding. As soon as the situation permits, we will create a FB page where we will regularly give spayed and neutered care and promote Kasprocats as much as possible.
Any help will be deeply appreciated as we feel bad for those stray cats that don’t have home and suffer from nature elements, lack of love and home. We would like to at least provide food for them and make sure they are not reproducing in greater numbers.
