My dears,
for the ones who don't know me - my name is Tereza Sovová, I am from Brno, Czech Republic and I am flying to Papua New Guinea. I am a 5th year medical student and I realise that life is more about than sitting behind the desk. Life (and medicine) must be fully lived. So I've decided to do a volunteer service with Salesians of Don Bosco on the other side of the world.
And you can come with me as my (not only financial) support!

About one year and a half ago I have signed up for Cagliero, a project of Salesians of Don Bosco that sends young people all around the world to do their volunteer service. And here I am, flying on the 13th of February 2022 to Port Moresby, capital of Papua New Guinea.
And why did I choose Papua? It is a place where medical students are needed. I should be in the charge of infirmary of one high school, teaching there and also helping with everything that will be needed in the salesian community. All the salesians there will become my family for a year and you can also join this big papuan family and support me, wherever you are right now.
In Papua New Guinea I won't be getting any money but they will provide me accomodation and food (the most important stuff, of course!). On me is the payment of flight ticket (return ticket costs aroun 1600 EUR), visas (around 200 EUR) and all the vacination and remedies (around 400 EUR). And all the money, that I obtain above the amount needed, will be used for anything useful in Papua New Guinea!

We enable young people to engage in Salesian children and youth facilities worldwide, for example, in India, Mexico, Kenya, Zambia, Angola, Ecuador, Bulgaria or elsewhere, for several weeks to one year. You can support a volunteer - adopt him, your donation will be used to cover the costs of volunteering, such as vaccinations, visas, tickets, and so on. Volunteer service is organized by SADBA (Salesian Association of Don Bosco).
