So I guess I met an angel today. I've been feeling under the weather, my friends are laughing at me at school, my dad doesn't have time for me, my mom's in jail, my grandma's dead.... and I feel safest here in the sewer on our estate. But an angel did meet me today, a text message from my mom tinkled that a gift would be coming my way via some International Prison Fellowship. My mom hasn't forgotten me...and I guess other people are thinking of me too. I seem to be better today.....

Did you know that there are about 40 thousand children in the Czech Republic who suffer harsh punishment caused by the mistakes of their parents? Their punishment is separation from their parent because of their incarceration.
We believe that each child deserves to experience a merry Christmas, so we run a program called The Angel Tree that offers help in families where the dad or mom are in prison. This project first started in 1981 in Birmingham, AL (USA) and has since spread into more than 70 countries all over the world.
Dozens of volunteers all across the Czech Republic unite their efforts (now for the Xth time) in a logistically varied and demanding project. The end product is Christmas gifts being delivered to more than a thousand children who have their mom or dad behind bars, according to what each child wants and with an attached letter from the parent who is in prison.
