In the spirit of the holidays (and AAU spirit week) the school of humanities will be fundraising for CARE, an international humanitarian organization. CARE works to prevent malnutrition, provide access to clean water, support women's self-sufficiency in agriculture, and protect front-line COVID workers. Read more about CARE here https://care.cz/
"For 75 years, it has been promoting human dignity and responding immediately to crises and humanitarian disasters. It helps people at risk of hunger, poverty, armed conflict, and climate change. It also implements long-term development programs that lead to the self -sufficiency of local communities. It focuses mainly on women and girls. They see their development as a path to peace, higher education for families, and the overall prosperity of wider communities. "
Who does this fundraiser help?
See exactly where your support is going.
Help children and families in Yemen access food and clean water after fleeing conflict.
“I divide the bread among my children and go without food myself,”
says a mother from Taiz, Yemen. Shelling forced her family to flee, leaving everything they owned behind. Your donation can support CARE’s assistance to families who need food, clean water and basic sanitation after fleeing their homes.
Renewed fighting in Yemen is forcing thousands more families from their homes. Some have been displaced repeatedly. Children are living in makeshift shelters without mattresses, blankets or access to toilets. Their parents are trying to put food on the table, often after losing their livelihoods.
CARE has been working in Yemen for many years alongside local partner organizations. Together, they improve access to food, water and hygiene services and help families meet their basic needs. As more people are forced to flee, this assistance is becoming increasingly urgent.
Help children and their families in Yemen cope with life after displacement. Every donation helps. Thank you for your support.
