HELP US COLLECT CZK 50,000 FOR SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR CHILDREN FROM KLOKÁNEK
The summer holidays are almost over and in a few days the new school year will begin. There are certainly a many parents who every year at the end of August, deal with the same thing - buying school supplies for their children. Undoubtedly, this is not cheap activity and now imagine buying school supplies for dozens of school-age children every single year!
The Czech representation of the car-manufacturer Suzuki supports the Fund for Vulnerable Children, and therefore the following challenge is arising, to which Suzuki comes with a generous offer:
CONTRIBUTE ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY AND SUZUKI WILL CONTRIBUTE THE SAME AMOUNT until the total amount of 50k CZK is collected.
What do we spend your contribution on?
With the raised funds, we will equip the children with the necessary school equipment such as writing and art supplies, exercise books, textbooks, sportswear for Physical Education or a new school backpack. Each of us can probably imagine how expensive it is to equip children. As you know, spending on schoolchildren does not end with school supplies. Because it is in our interest that the children from Klokánek are not discriminated against in any way and minimise the impact of their life situation, for which they are not responsible at all, we try to integrate them into the school community as much as possible. This is why, among other things, we pay for all of their school activities such as school trips, cinemas, excursions or lunches, where children acquire much-needed social habits and socialize with other children.
What will you really change by your contribution?
Your contribution is much more than just a new school bags or an exercise book. It will enable the children from Klokánek to fit into the school environment and experience similar joys as their peers. By helping us pay for children's extracurricular activities, you allow them to develop their talents, which they may not even know about, and allow them to slowly find their life paths and the direction they will want to take in their lives.
Thanks to your help, we will bring some happy moments to the life of children who already suffered a lot in their life.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! „Klokanek" or "Kangaroo“ in English is an institution for children requiring immediate help. Klokanek provides urgent family care for abused, neglected or otherwise vulnerable children.
Fond ohrožených dětí je nevládní nezisková organizace, s pověřením k výkonu sociálně-právní ochrany dětí, která v letošním roce oslaví 30 let od svého vzniku. Jedním z jeho projektů je Klokánek, zařízení pro děti vyžadující okamžitou pomoc, jakožto rodinnou alternativu péče pro týrané, zanedbávané, zneužívané, opuštěné či jinak sociálně ohrožené děti. Projekt Klokánek v letošním roce oslaví 20 let od svého vzniku.
V současné době Fond ohrožených dětí provozuje na území Čech a Moravy 15 těchto zařízení s celkovou kapacitou 322 míst. V útulně zařízených klasických bytech se o děti, a to maximálně o skupinku čtyř, starají vždy střídavě po týdnu jen dvě stálé "tety". Kromě péče o děti taktéž vaří, nakupují, starají se o domácnost, vodí děti na kroužky a k lékaři a prožívají s dětmi celé dny i noci jako v běžné rodině. Jelikož děti přichází do Klokánků s různými traumaty a potřebují nejen individuální péči blízké osoby (tety), ale také odbornou pomoc sociálních praconíků, psychologů či psychoterapeutů, kteří mohou dítě provázet hojivým procesem a zmírnit tak důsledky jejich negativních prožitků, je v Klokánkách i tato kompletní péče zajištěna.
