Milan is our co-worker from the social enterprise Bistro Střecha (the Roof), you have certainly heard of him. He worked with us from the very beginning of the project, putting a lot of passion and hardship in his role - he is simply a keeper! From the start of 2019, he sadly received a lot of restraint notices, debts that he has accumulated while he was living on the street. Now he has been working full-time for a year and a half with us and he lives in Žižkov, in a small studio, where he just got his contract extended. After the bailiff's collision, he is left with just a few thousand CZK a month (a few pounds), so there is a risk that he will lose his home again and find himself back in the street although heh works very hard with us. From April, when the bailiffs started to collect the debt from his wage, we managed to pay his rent using crowdfunding. Unfortunately, we ran out of it in August.
So I would like to ask you if you would contribute to his rent as a birthday present for me? The rent amounts to around 7 700 CZK per month with services. He should go through insolvency, we are also trying to get him a municipal flat with lowered rent, etc. But that will take a while and he needs to have a home while we are looking at other options and solutions!

Jana and Milan work together with us since the opening of social enterprise, where we employ homeless people and ex-convicts. After few years spent on the street, Milan signed a lease agreement last year. Jana was successfully repaying her debts. However, in the last two weeks we have received 5 distraint warrants and now we have to pay for it with deductions from wages, which will leave them with 9.644 Czk and that's really tough to live with this little money in the center of Prague. Therefore we would like to ask you, if you could help them in their unenviable situation. We will use the collected money to pay for their rents - this way the bailiff will not be able to seize the money and they will have at least the whole wage after deduction. The money we raise on top of will be used similarly on debts and distraints of our other co-workers.
