The storm of populism and the dark clouds of superficiality threaten us more and more in the Czech Republic. Many wander in them. Cases of wrecking values are also known. For over two thousand years, lighthouses have been making sure that people find the right direction. Therefore, the community in Bežerovice decided to build the Lighthouse of Hope that will show a safe way to go further to the common joy!
Please, help us and become the Guardians of the Lighthouse of Hope!
For 25 EUR you will receive the honorary title of the Guardian of the Lighthouse in Bežerovice, for which I am writing this invitation .
Our community is small (about 120 inhabitants), we all know each other and cooperate in various events (brigades, celebrations, municipal affairs). We want Bežerovice as a small community to stay alive, inspire others around and continue its history that goes back to AD 1411. We want to be open and active to the community. We want us to be closer. That is why the local community decided to build a unique cultural center - the Lighthouse of Hope - to host various events at the village square like:
- Summer theater performances and concerts
- Mini-galleries and vernissages
- Cultural events and celebrations
- Thematic competitions and games
Why do I volunteer like this?
When I was 45, I thought I had to end my beloved mountain hiking. The hips hurt so much that it just couldn't stand. I started to run on the track (ie rather run) and in 3 years I ran the marathon. The pain has passed and has been replaced by the euphoria of a long run through nature. Now I'm 56 and it's the same as then. Just ten years and kilograms harder.
Please help me run again. Your trust will be my greatest commitment.
Day after day I am going to run, increase the pace and benefits. Your support will help me with determination! I don't give false promises, and your confidence will help me in difficult times. Plus, whenever I run around the Lighthouse, I greet it on your behalf when I bite away the kilometers.
