The New Forest was founded in 2004. It is a long-term project with an overlap to the next centuries. The aim is to transform the spruce monoculture into a diverse forest ecosystem in which there will be no economic logging. Protected species of plants and woody plants find refuge here. Now the forest covers an area corresponding to approximately 50 football fields. Since the establishment of the forest, thousands of trees have been planted with the support of the public. The area is protected by a fenced structure so that forest animals do not destroy newly planted trees. The site is accessible to the public free of charge. Your contribution will enable further maintenance of the site and further development of the project.
A Greek proverb says: “A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they know they shall never sit.”. The first signs of change are already visible today. However, the full range of benefits for nature and society will be appreciated especially by future generations.
Your donation will help maintain the forest and raise funds for future expansion. Regular donations, albeit in smaller amounts, will allow us to better plan our activities and further develop the site.

right now it is truly beautiful in the New Forest on the Ještěd Ridge. 🌳🌲 The earth smells of life, young trees are pushing toward the light, and among them stand silent old guardians and the remnants of trees that, although no longer alive, still make space for new life.
For more than 20 years, we have humbly stood here alongside nature, helping it to write its own story.
And it is thanks to you that this story can exist. 🌲🌳

Dear donors,
We are pleased to inform you about the ongoing activities in the New Forest. In addition to ongoing inspections and repairs of forest fences, young trees were also planted in the fall. Among them were dozens of rare red yews.

Dear donors,
The work in the New Forest does not only concern the care of trees, but also the plants in the meadows there. We have now mowed one of them again. Thanks to regular mowing, various types of plants can be found on the site. Have a nice day and thank you all for your support.

Vážení dárci,
minulý týden naši pracovníci opravovali v Novém pralese lesní oplocenky. Kromě toho náš odborník Jiří Antl provedl i první jarní monitoring stavu netopýřích a sovích budek. Pokračujeme v práci a těšíme se na jarní dny, kdy bude prales opět zelený.

připravili jsme pro vás zajímavé srovnání zalesnění plochy různých států na světě. Velkou pozornost věnujeme Brazílii a kácení tamních deštných pralesů. Rozhodně z toho nemáme radost, ale naší prioritou je zlepšit kvalitu lesů u nás v České republice.
