Solidarity winter
Wondering what kind of help you can offer to support those for whom the most challenging times of the year is coming? Buy them vouchers for coffee, tea, dessert, the whole lunch or even a ticket to the theater in solidarity cafés around Prague. You can support someone in need living next to you - give them the opportunity to come to a place where they are welcome, the opportunity to meet people and to get small support! Even a cup of coffee or tea in a friendly café, can really warm up someone in need/someone without home - and cheer them up, as well! Cafés and a theatre in Prague join together to offer direct help towards people in need from their neighborhoods - with your support! Until Christmas we want to fill their cafés/shops with vouchers for people in need!
But how? This is supported by vouchers from Locals for locals which you can normally buy in cafes/shops in Prague. You can buy them there and give to someone who you think needs them! Now, we offer the possibility to donate vouchers online, as we aim to spread the opportunity to as many people as possible! Until Christmas we want to fill the 7 shops below with vouchers which help people in need!
In the price of:
- 1 - 2 EUR someone without home can get a free coffee/tea or a dessert in the cafés: prostor39 in Prague 3, Jídelna Kuchařek bez domova in Prague 5, Family coffee & bistro in Prague 8 and Potrvá in Prague 6.
- 4 EUR the person will get a dessert + coffee - something that people in need can barely afford - in Bistro Střecha, prostor39 and ROH družstevní kavárna in Prague 3
- 5 EUR a person in financial crisis can get a whole lunch in Jídelna Kuchařek bez domova in Prague 5 and in Bistro Střecha in Prague 3
- 12 EUR you give someone in need a visit to a theatre perfomance in Studio Hrdinů in Prague 7
The cafés and shops that offer these vouchers, usually offer also long-term free services to people without home and people in need. This campaign is a challenge for the public to join direct help towards people in need!
People in need will get to know about the vouchers through our flyers that are distributed by street workers of the NGOs Naděje, Armáda Spásyand Charita, thank you! The information is also sent to emergency shelters and counseling centers e.g. Everyone sometimes need a small support, while offering it can mean a big help and motivation to someone! Thank you for giving this opportunity!
