Testimony: The truth that should have remained hidden
Every year, 124 million animals are killed for meat, milk and egg production in the Czech Republic. This figure is so huge that we may not even be able to imagine it. And can we imagine where and how such a large number of animals live? The documentary Testimony reveals the truth that the animal industry is deliberately hiding. Using footage from hidden cameras, it penetrates behind the barbed wire fences and high walls of Czech factory farms, smallholdings, but also domestic farms, to show the real life of animals that are relegated to mere commodities. It shows specific individuals hidden behind neat packages in shops and presents them as unique creatures fighting for life to their last breath.
A total of 400 individual donors joined the crowdfunding campaign on Startovac and more than 200,000 CZK were raised to complete the film.
But the most important thing only starts now that the documentary is finished. Now our goal is to get the film into cinemas and onto screens in Czech homes.
