Support local LGBTQ+ initiatives before they run out of steam

Hate towards LGBTQ+ people in the Czech Republic is on the rise – the data speaks for itself. Last year’s survey* showed that every young LGBTQ+ person has experienced hate speech online, and this year’s Pride events in Olomouc, Ostrava, and Příbram were forced to file dozens of criminal complaints due to threats. Securing cooperation from the police and security agencies is now an essential part of organizing LGBTQ+ events not only in Prague but also throughout the country. *Ipsos for T-Mobile in cooperation with In IUSTITIA, Cyberbullying and Online Hate Speech (2025)

Organizing a small Pride event or flying a rainbow flag outside of Prague requires tremendous courage.

The people who organize these activities are usually individuals and small groups of volunteers who, alongside their regular jobs, devote their time and energy to building a safer and more open city for LGBTQ+ people and their loved ones. They stand on the front lines against hatred – hatred that is directed at all of us. Let’s not leave them to face this alone.

We want LGBTQ+ people to be a visible part of communities throughout the country. A few large events in Prague aren’t enough to achieve this: we need a strong network of local initiatives. Please support these efforts in the regions financially before they run out of steam. T-Mobile will double each donation.

Where will your donation go?

Thanks to your support LGBTQ+ people will be more visible and safer outside of Prague. We will distribute the funds raised among at least 4 regional initiatives:

Slavex Pride
Slavex Pride brings lectures, cultural and social events, and workshops to several cities in the Zlín Region. In doing so, it helps break down prejudices in an environment where barriers and stereotypes still persist, while also celebrating diversity for those who cannot afford to travel to a safe space.

Ostrava Pride Month
A festival of diversity, respect, and equality that transforms Ostrava into the heart of queer culture for one month. The festival aims to entertain, educate, and draw attention to the fact that equal rights are a hallmark of every advanced society.

Příbram Pride
In the context of an increasingly polarized society, Příbram Pride seeks to highlight that every person deserves to live with dignity and safety, without fear. The festival strives to create a safe, open, and welcoming space for everyone who believes that respect, equality, and human dignity belong in every city.

If your generosity helps us raise more than CZK 300,000, the additional funds will go to other local projects approved by the Pride Business Forum Board.

Even a small donation helps maintain a safe space in the region. Plus, T-Mobile is now doubling each amount donated. Join us today.
