Ambassador Code of Ethics

  • The purpose of a personal fundraiser is to obtain support for a nonprofit organization.

  • The information provided by the ambassador and the communication of the personal fundraiser are open and truthful.

  • The ambassador respects everyone who decides to give their support and donate, as well as those who decline.

  • The ambassador acts in a manner that does not endanger the nonprofit organization or its good name and does not harm other organizations.

  • The ambassador does not approach donors who, based on generally known facts, could be unacceptable to the organization, or donors whose donation would not comply with the fundraising code of ethics of the organization concerned.

  • The ambassador receives summary overviews of the fundraiser and its donations. The ambassador does not gain access to the personal data of the donors who have donated (note: unless the data has been directly published or passed on by the donor or the nonprofit organization).
