As part of our parish charity bazaar, St. James Parish in Kunratice is launching a fundraising challenge. Our goal is to raise CZK 10,000 to support the project “Batteries that Save Lives” – solar energy systems for hospitals in Ukraine.
Víra bez skutků je mrtvá – a světlo je někdy velmi konkrétní pomoc.
During our parish charity bazaar, we want to contribute not only through selling donated items, but also through a shared fundraising effort.
We are launching the St. James Challenge to raise CZK 10,000 in support of the project “Batteries that Save Lives” run by Koridor UA. The project provides solar systems and battery storage for hospitals in Ukraine.
Due to repeated attacks on energy infrastructure, power outages are a harsh reality. Hospitals need stable energy sources to keep essential medical equipment running during blackouts. Reliable electricity can mean the difference between life and death.
If you cannot attend the bazaar in person, you can still join us by making a donation here.
Every contribution becomes part of a shared effort to bring light where it is urgently needed.
Thank you for your support.
Our faith calls us not only to pray, but also to act.

We have shipped over 2,000 solar panels to Ukrainian hospitals. In the event of a power outage, they can keep life-saving equipment running – ventilators, incubators, monitors – the technology that determines survival. But to get them up and running, they need inverters and high-capacity batteries, which are now available at a 60% discount. Please join us in saving lives in Ukraine!
Russian attacks often target energy infrastructure. At such times, hospitals find themselves without power. Solar systems with high-capacity batteries can immediately deliver up to 10 kW of power in a crisis situation, which is enough to operate the most necessary devices until large backup generators are launched.
Each inverter with a battery is key – these components form the heart of the backup system. Without them, even the best panels are useless. We currently have the opportunity to purchase 14 inverters and batteries, which will allow us to complete 5 solar power plants. ✅ Why is this project important?
❤️ Saving lives – Powering ventilators, incubators, and other equipment that patients would not survive without. 💸 Effective use of donations – Thanks to a 60% discount, we will purchase more equipment for less money. 🔋 Long-term solution – High-quality inverters and batteries will last for years and can protect hospitals even in future crises. 📦 Logistics already managed – The panels are already in place. Only the last step is missing – commissioning. 🛡️ Increasing Ukraine's energy independence – Every functional system is a step towards stability and resistance to Russian aggression. 💡 Immediate assistance during power outages – The systems immediately provide power to the most necessary devices even before the generators start up. Help us get this last step done. Every contribution means a functional device that will save lives!
