We are the Czech Scouting Institute and since the beginning of the war in Ukraine we have been contributing to solving the crises it causes.
We opened the Svitlo Community Centre in April 2022. We help people who have been displaced from their homes by the war not to be suffering and lost here, but to participate in the labour market and society. That is why we provide psychological counseling, language courses, therapy for children, group meetings for parents, career workshops and more.
People are still coming and we want to continue to help them. Your contribution will ensure:
- one hour session with a psychologist for an adult, or one hour of language tutoring for a child (€20)
- individual career counselling - help with CV, interview preparation, job search (€40)
- monthly course of art therapy or play therapy for a traumatized child (€100)
- intensive Czech language course for an adult or monthly support from a job counsellor (€200)
As well as one-off donations, there is also the option of a regular donation - and we would be delighted if you would like to support the project long-term.
