The twins Ema and Bára were born under dramatic circumstances. Ema managed her premature entry into life well, but Barunka has cerebral palsy, is severely psychomotor-delayed, does not speak and suffers from a number of other health complications. Nevertheless, she is a cheerful and curious little girl with a great zest for life. Her programme is full of exercise and stimulation. Occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and especially intensive neurorehabilitation help her to become aware of her own body, strengthen it and learn the correct movement patterns. The annual costs run into the high hundreds of thousands, which unfortunately are not covered by insurance. Your donation will help her parents cover the cost of rehabilitation and also contribute to the purchase of a new family car.
The story was nominated by Jiřina Bílková, the parents of the twins Vlasta and Tonda are (not only) her former colleagues from PwC.
