Two years ago, John nearly died of cancer. Doctors found a neuroendocrine tumor the size of his liver that had been growing for over three years. After two highest-risk surgeries, they were able to remove the tumor along with his entire spleen, and part of his stomach, pancreas and large intestine. Today he is totally cancer free, but this experience forever changed him and his goals. He is applying for a master’s degree programme at the Charles University to study immunology and cancer research. Your contribution will help John to pay the tuition fee and to come closer to his goal, the timely detection of tumours, so that no one else has to go through what he has been through.
