Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is one of the largest humanitarian and health organizations in the world. Each year we treat around ten million patients in more than 70 countries around the world. We save people's lives wherever we need to. We help people suffering in armed conflicts, people affected by natural disasters, epidemics or malnutrition, for example. We also care about the development of medicines and are constantly looking for ways to make humanitarian aid even better.
Fundraising for Medecins Sans Frontieres / Doctors Without Borders
Join the CEE fundraising event in support of MSF on 1 March 2022 and support our global charity partner.
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) translates to Doctors without Borders. We provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. Our teams are made up of tens of thousands of health professionals, logistic and administrative staff - bound together by our charter. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality.
MSF was founded in 1971 in Paris by a group of journalists and doctors. Today, we are a worldwide movement of nearly 65,000 people.
Our teams conduct independent evaluations to determine medical needs and assess what assistance to provide. Different criteria determine what we do, such as the magnitude of a given crisis, the levels of illness and mortality in the population, the severity of exclusion from healthcare, and the added value we can bring to the affected people. We regularly question the form, relevance and impact of our presence, taking into account what other organisations do.
Thanks to your support we are able to continue to provide care for our patients. Thank you!
