ReOrder supports planting a thousand-year trees

They are hardly ever found in the wild anymore, which is why red yews are a real rarity among Czech trees - they live up to a thousand years, they are actually little Czech redwoods. In autumn, its branches are decorated with distinctly red fruits that are tasty and edible, although the tree itself - its needles and wood - is poisonous. The world-renowned DJ ReOrder supports the return of these jewels to the mountains in the Czech Republic.

Why protect yew? Would not it be better if it disappeared from our nature for good? DJ ReOrder and the Bumblebee organization do not think so. The yew is a real rarity among Czech trees - it lives up to a thousand years old, it is actually a little Czech redwood. In autumn, its branches are decorated with distinctly red fruits that are tasty and edible, although the tree itself - its needles and wood - is poisonous.  Will you help us preserve it for posterity?

About project

For 23 years, organization Bumblebee has been dedicated to saving yew trees. During that time, we collected seeds, planted seedlings and planted 644 rare yew trees in the Jizera Mountains countryside. We are now working to return a total of 1,000 yew trees to the mountains of the Liberec region (Czech Republic).
The funds raised in this collection are intended to cover planting costs within one selected forest site. Tibor Tomečko, aka ReOrder, will be its patron. A full overview of all locations can be viewed in detail HERE.

Why do we protect yew trees?

Red yew is an indigenous, now very rare Czech tree. It's protected by law. The public is more familiar with yew trees in parks where mainly cultivated horticultural cultivars are grown. You won't find yew in most of our territory today, the remaining trees mostly grow only in reserves or inaccessible places. The main objective of our project is to expand the number of sites where yew is present in our nature, increasing the chance of its survival for the future.

Donor rewards

We also offer donors in this collection the possibility of a reward for financial support. For the sum of 10 Eur we will send you a discount coupon on ReOrder merchandise. We offer a signed T-shirt with a red yew design for 29 Eur. For fans who would like to use a video call with a DJ, we have an option for a donation of 57 Eur. If you make your own music in the trance genre and would like to consult your production, you can use a wealth of experience for a 115 Eur donation.
