The Forum 2000 Foundation pursues the legacy of Václav Havel by supporting the values of democracy and respect for human rights, assisting the development of civil society, and encouraging religious, cultural and ethnic tolerance. It provides a platform for global leaders, as well as thinkers and courageous individuals from every field of endeavor, to openly debate and share these critical issues.
Why to support Forum 2000 Foundation We are an independent and renowned organization. Since 1997 we have hosted several prominent personalities, Nobel Prize winners, former and active politicians, key entrepreneurs, and others whose common characteristic is experience with the weight of responsibility. As an integral part of our activities, we associate with organizations with a similar focus and work together to build a strong and open civil society.
We value transparency. We regularly publish annual reports and information on our projects.
As a friend, you will:
Receive a priority invitation to attend the Forum 2000 Conference - an opportunity to meet our distinguished guests in the field of democracy and human rights promotion *
Receive an electronic bulletin regularly informing about news and events within the organization
Obtain confirmation of your donation for tax purposes at the start of each calendar year
* You will receive an invitation if you support Forum 2000 as a "Patron" or higher for at least 12 calendar months. The Foundation reserves the right to refuse conference registration for security and organizational reasons.
Your regular donation will allow us to execute the following activities:
Friend = 20 EUR - Helps us keep Václav Havel’s vision alive by supporting the core of our mission — connecting courageous voices that defend democracy and human rights. (Covers, for example, the cost of distributing publications, maintaining online discussions, and supporting communication with our global community.)
Patron = 75 EUR - Strengthens our impact by helping us organize high-level discussions and expert roundtables that connect democratic leaders, thinkers, and civil society from around the world. (Covers, for example, the preparation of expert analyses and small networking events around the annual Forum 2000 Conference.)
Philanthropist = 250 EUR - Ensures the sustainability of our international platform and gives voice to those who defend freedom under pressure. (Covers, for example, the costs of organizing the annual Forum 2000 Conference, which brings together democracy defenders, experts, and civic leaders from around the world.)
