The Senlife project was founded in 2020 by architect Tomáš Eckschlager and project manager Lukáš Drásta. Their main goal is to build innovative homes for the elderly in historic buildings throughout the Czech Republic, where maximum emphasis is placed on the individual wishes of the clients. They opened the first home with this concept in 2021 in the former Augustinian monastery in Mělník. Last year, for this implementation, they won the main prize in the nationwide Best of Realty competition and also scored in the national Monument of the Year competition. Now the Senlife project team is working on the reconstruction of other historic buildings. In 2023, they plan to open a home for the elderly at the Tmaň castle near Beroun, followed by a home in the First Republic spa in Dobrá Voda in the Příbram region and at the Chodová Planá castle in western Bohemia. The endowment fund helps provide financial and material assistance for improving comprehensive care in our homes. The main goal is to expand the leisure and intergenerational activities of seniors. We also do not forget about our employees, their education and quality working conditions, which have a direct impact on client care.
