The FRIEDA patient organization is here for people living with an incurable, neurodegenerative rare disease – Friedreich’s ataxia (FA). FRIEDA is the only patient organization dedicated to FA in Czech Republic and was founded in 2021. We provide counselling and support to patients and their families, raise awareness about the disease and its treatment, and organize retreats and webinars. We advocate for patients’ interests, engage with pharmaceutical companies and insurance providers, cooperate with international institutions, and organize fundraising and awareness-raising events.
