The project "Jewish Legends of Prague" is deeply rooted in the heart of Prague. A city that has witnessed many destinies and stories of the Jewish community. Our goal is to bring viewers more than just historical facts - we want to open a window into the lives of people who created and co-created the unique atmosphere of this city. We believe that it is through the personal stories of ordinary and exceptional people that we can better understand how the Jewish presence influenced the appearance of Prague, its culture, traditions and everyday life.

We are not just about commemorating famous rabbis, scholars or artists, we also want to show how Jewish merchants, craftsmen, writers and architects contributed to the development of the city, how their lives intertwined with the lives of other residents of Prague. In this sense, our project is a kind of bridge between the past and the present, allowing viewers to feel the pulsating rhythm of Jewish history as part of today's city.

We place great emphasis on tangible and intangible heritage – from impressive synagogues and historic buildings to literary works, music, art and traditions that survive in the collective memory and contemporary life of Prague. We want the viewer not only to see and hear, but above all to feel how deep and multi-layered the legacy of the Jewish community in this city is.

An important part of our approach is interdisciplinarity – we combine history, cultural anthropology and art to create a rich and multi-faceted picture that draws the viewer into the stories and allows them to experience them firsthand. We are convinced that such an approach helps to better understand not only the past, but also the importance of tolerance, pluralism and mutual respect in today's society.

We pay special attention to personalities from various fields – literature, architecture, business and art – whose lives and works have influenced not only the Jewish community, but also the entire city of Prague and Czech culture. We do not want to perceive these stories only as historical events, but as living inspirations that can help us better understand the present and future of our city and country.

The entire project thus creates a complex and living narrative that has the ambition not only to enrich our knowledge of Jewish heritage, but also to stimulate a deeper discussion about its significance for the collective memory and identity of Prague and the Czech Republic. We want “Jewish Legends of Prague” to be not only an educational project, but also an invitation to reflection and dialogue about how the past shapes our common values and how we can build a more open and tolerant society together.
