Chodci sobě - Pedestrians to Themselves

The "Chodci sobě" portal has been operating since February 10, 2012, and serves as a simple tool for reporting problems encountered by Prague pedestrians on their journeys through the city. The portal is operated by the NGO Pěšky městem, z.s. (Walk the City).

Do you like the portal "Chodci sobě", our project that has been operating now for a decade? Support its further development or appreciate a resolved initiative. Donate once or regularly, according to your possibilities. Help make our city a safer and more pleasant place. This is what we at the organization Walk the City are all enthusiastic about!

Your support empowers pedestrians and ensures, for example:

  • 300 Kč - one hour for counseling or defending pedestrians at the authorities
  • 500 Kč - administration of one initiative on the portal www.chodcisobe.cz
  • 1000 Kč - monitoring and bringing one proposed solution to a successful conclusion for the benefit of pedestrians

How the portal works:

The web portal www.chodcisobe.cz serves as a simple tool for reporting problems encountered by Prague pedestrians on their journeys through the city. Suggestions, including photos of problem areas, are recorded, displayed on a map, and sent to the relevant city districts for resolution. The public can monitor the status of their solution, rate it, comment, or update it. Thanks to the "Chodci sobě" portal, individuals and initiatives striving to improve public space are networked and connected.

Various cases often require the involvement of a transport designer, architect, or lawyer who can help citizens or associations on our behalf. Even these experts cannot be asked for help pro bono indefinitely. Being able to pay for their advice makes it easier to provide professional assistance to a broader audience.
