The children are hoping to return to their school. Despite the challenges of war, their school has managed to build a safe shelter — now it needs our help to equip it with desks, chairs, and other essential supplies.

The children have been living through war for several years, spending their school days at home instead of learning together. They are missing not only regular lessons, but also the everyday contact with their friends, classmates, and teachers. Now they have a chance to return to school — and they can’t wait to go back.

It will not only help provide children with better conditions for their education, but, above all, give them the chance to be together again — something that matters enormously during a long war.

Our team was approached by Ondřej Syrovátka, who works directly with the school in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Ondřej brought us the opportunity to help, and together we looked for the best possible solution. We therefore reached out to a close partner we had worked with before — Schools for Victory.

Schools for Victory is an initiative organized by students from across Europe. Young people organize fundraising campaigns, communicate with participating schools, and coordinate humanitarian support together. The project was launched in Latvia in 2023 and has since expanded to eleven more countries. It has already connected more than 200 schools across Europe. In addition to the Czech Republic, participating countries include the other Baltic states, France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Poland.
