Back to School on the Same Starting Line

Help every child sprint into the new school year from the same starting line! 🏃 Not every child starts September with a pencil case full of crayons or a backpack without holes. With your help, we can equip the children who need it most with school supplies. Every child deserves to start the school year on an equal footing.

🎒 This campaign aims to provide school supplies to children from disadvantaged refugee families, so they can line up at the same starting line as their classmates. Every child deserves the same fair start.

🧡 How can you help? Give an amount that lets us buy, for example:

200 CZK = a set of notebooks and pens
 450 CZK = a full pencil case
 1,200 CZK = a backpack with a complete kit

Help children start the new school year with dignity — with everything they need.

For many children in the Czech Republic, going back to school isn't a joy but a source of stress. They lack basic school supplies and equipment, which chips away at their chance to succeed and to feel equal among their peers.

But together, we can change that. Join the "Back to School on the Same Starting Line" challenge and help children from refugee families facing hardship.

The campaign partners are AKM Stationery.

👉 Every contribution helps — and even a small amount can make a big difference.

For 35 years, the Organization for Aid to Refugees has supported refugees and foreigners in the Czech Republic. We provide free legal and social counseling, run awareness events, offer educational programs for both the general and professional public, and carry out further activities to support the integration of foreigners. In 2025, 7,500 people received our help, and our volunteers gave 2,376 hours of their time.
