Adopt an international folklore group
Help us welcome international folklore groups to Červený Kostelec. By adopting a group, you will contribute to their meals, accommodation, transport and festival support and become part of a place where Czech traditions come together with traditions from around the world.
The International Folklore Festival in Červený Kostelec is a festival with the highest number of international groups in the Czech Republic. Every year, it creates a unique opportunity to experience Czech local traditions side by side with traditions from around the world. Over its more than 70 years of existence, the festival has brought to the Czech Republic groups from6 continents, 68 countries and 250 cities.
Each international group brings its own costumes, music, dances and customs.
But also many ordinary needs: – a place to sleep, – food and drink, – and a way to get here in the first place.
The costs of transport, accommodation and basic support are rising every year. And these costs often determine how many international groups we can afford to invite.
Help us make sure that the groups feel at home here — and that the Czech Republic and Červený Kostelec remain a meeting place for traditions from all over the world.
Choose one of the international groups and support its stay at the festival.
Your adoption will help cover food, accommodation, transport and care for the performers during the festival days. At the same time, it allows you to come a little closer to the festival — from having your name listed among the supporters to a personal meeting or a shared dinner with the group.
Adoption Levels
Supporter – 500 CZK
You will contribute to meals for the performers.
You will receive:
your name listed on the festival website,
your name displayed on the supporters’ board.
Town Lad – 1,500 CZK
You will contribute to accommodation for the group.
You will receive:
your name listed on the festival website,
your name displayed on the supporters’ board,
a personal thank-you before the group’s performance.
Feast Leader – 5,000 CZK
You will contribute to food, accommodation and care for the group.
You will receive:
a friendly meeting with the group and a drink,
a small gift from the group’s country,
a package of additional rewards,
a thank-you on the festival website,
your name displayed on the supporters’ board,
a personal thank-you during the programme.
Town Elder – 10,000 CZK and more
You will help provide overall care for the group during the festival.
You will receive:
an invitation to a shared meal with the group,
a presentation of customs from their country,
the opportunity to try on the group’s traditional costume,
the opportunity to learn a few steps of their dance,
a small gift from the group’s country,
a package of additional rewards,
your name listed on the festival website,
your name displayed on the supporters’ board,
a personal thank-you before the group’s performance.
In the donation form on the right, you select the international group you wish to support and choose the amount according to one of the adoption levels. Then, you fill in the other necessary details and the form will guide you to a secure online payment.
After receiving your donation, we will contact you by email within 3 business days with a confirmation and further instructions on how to receive your reward.
If you are not sure which group to support, you can leave the adoption to us. We will use your contribution where it is most needed at that moment.
