Give a four-year-old Anna a reason to hope
Four-year-old Anna faces developmental challenges. Thanks to regular sensory therapy she is making tremendous progress – but this therapy isn't covered by health insurance. Her mother, who fled the war in Ukraine, is raising two daughters with disabilities on her own. Help ensure Anna's therapy can continue, so she doesn't lose the progress she's made! Every 10,000 CZK provides one more month of therapy.
Vitalina (35) is a single mother raising two daughters with disabilities, Anna and Mariia. The war forced her to leave Ukraine for the Czech Republic – she comes from the Donetsk region, where the situation is very serious.
Four-year-old Anna faces developmental challenges, mainly in speech and comprehension. At times she struggles to follow simple instructions, finds it hard to bear other children's shouting, and lives with hyperactivity that makes her bump uncontrollably into things. She also has difficulty with everyday self-care.
Anna regularly sees a speech therapist, a paediatric neurologist, and a psychologist, and since January 2026 she has been attending sensory integration therapy – under a therapist's guidance, selected senses are stimulated through play so that her brain can build the right responses to stimuli.
Thanks to this, Anna is making tremendous progress – she has learned to use the potty, to imitate movements and sounds, and to jump; she responds better to her name, holds eye contact, repeats words, and copes better with the presence of other children – something previously unthinkable.
Unfortunately, this therapy isn't covered by health insurance – and for it to work, Anna needs to attend several times a week. Every 10,000 CZK means one more month of therapy for Anna. 🧡
Help give Anna the chance to continue along a path she is already walking so bravely! All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly toward covering Anna's therapy, or toward supporting children in similar situations.
