The war in Ukraine is still ongoing, and people in the affected areas face the consequences of bombardment every day. Homes, schools, and hospitals remain without windows. Windows removed during renovations in the Czech Republic — which would otherwise end up in landfills — are being given a second life where they are needed most: in bombed-out Ukrainian homes. Help us deliver windows to places where they can once again protect people from the cold and danger.
A group of volunteers from the Windows for Ukraine project decided to help Ukrainians in a simple yet effective way: by reusing windows that would otherwise end up in landfills in the Czech Republic.
The windows are used to repair damaged houses and apartments so local people can return to their homes as soon as possible.
Without windows, homes are uninhabitable - especially when winter arrives.

❓How It Works
We collect discarded but still fully usable windows left over from renovations from individuals, companies, and institutions across the Czech Republic.
We look for suitable recipients of the windows in Ukraine.
We arrange the transport of the windows to Ukraine.
🚧 In the Czech Republic, it is common for windows removed during renovations to end up in landfills
For Ukrainians, however, they represent the chance for dignified housing. An elderly Ukrainian woman or the family of a soldier fighting on the front line simply cannot afford new windows.
