We are the Archive of Fine Arts (Archiv výtvarného umění), a non-profit organization founded in 1984 as part of the activities of Galerie H in Kostelec nad Černými lesy.
The Archive manages and processes an extensive collection of documents related primarily to Czech and Slovak visual art of the 20th and 21st centuries, including exhibition catalogues, monographs, invitations, books, journals, press releases, and other materials. We are the largest specialized collection of this kind in the Czech Republic.
The collection is preserved in our storage facilities in Nusle, Prague 4, and is catalogued and made accessible through the abART information system (www.isabart.org).

We operate a research library and archive storage facilities in Prague 4 (Nusle), as well as a public specialist library at the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art in Prague 7. Throughout the year, we organize exhibitions in the library spaces at DOX, host lectures and public programmes, compile bibliographies, and publish books and other publications.
Our publishing activities and available titles can be found at eshop.artarchiv.cz. If you appreciate our work and would like to support the activities of the Archive of Fine Arts, we would be grateful for any form of support. Thank you!
