Join HOPI in supporting the construction of a school for children with severe speech disorders.

The Don Bosco School in Bohnice is the oldest speech therapy educational institution in Central Europe, continuing a long tradition. This tradition is associated with the enormous know-how of teachers who have passed on their knowledge and experience to future generations. Among other things, the school provides support and training for young special education teachers from all over the country. It teaches them how to detect developmental dysphasia in young children and what further steps to recommend. However, due to unsuitable conditions, there is currently a risk that this chain will be broken and the professional pedigree of the Don Bosco School will come to an end.

The current school building is in a completely unsuitable technical condition. For over 20 years, it has been located in premises that were originally intended to be only temporary. The Prague Archdiocese intends for the new school in Klecany to take over its mission in full and supplement it with dignified conditions for teaching children and supporting their families. Its speech therapy clinic will be open to the public as well as to students.
