The Via Comenia foundation is founded on the educational philosophy of J.A. Comenius, who believed that all people should acquire not only new information, but also understand oneself in order to develop character, and to understand one’s environment in order to improve the world in which we live. Our goal is to accomplish such a humanity that not only knows what is good, but also wants good, and does good, even when no one is looking.

To accomplish our long term goals to improve education in the Czech Republic, we need to establish a strong financial base. In order to establish this base, we need to understand what is realistic for us to accomplish through raising financial support. To this end, in 2024-25 we are undertaking a feasibility study regarding the best ways to achieve our long term financial goals. This study is an investment in the future of Via Comenia as well as the future of education in the Czech Republic.
